Mission
The Irvington High School Robotics Club seeks to educate local students on design, planning, construction, programming, and testing of both user-controlled and automated robots, focusing on S.T.E.M principles and efficient and useful design. We carry the name of Irvington High School whenever we participate in competitions. We are like a company, and our finished robots are our products that we offer to the community. We are Robotics.
Our Community
Participation in the club is open to all students in grades 9-12 in the City of Fremont who are interested in learning about engineering and technology. Currently, we have approximately fifty-five members and we are still growing. Our members include both students from Irvington High School and from other schools in the district, such as Kennedy High School. All current members are in high school, in grades 9-12. In addition, we mentor junior high students at Horner Junior High, which has seven (7) FIRST LEGO League (FLL) teams, comprised of about fifty seventh and eighth graders.
